Nobody cares when conservatives get beat up

Where's the outrage, asks Brit Hume in his Monday Special Report:
Conservative students and faculty at Princeton University are questioning the absence of campus and community outrage — following the beating of a student leading a morality movement at the school. The New York Sun reports Francisco Nava was attacked by two men last week and told to shut up. The beating came two days after Nava received death threats by e-mail.
And so it begins

The Bush Administration and its television network are apparently using a decision by the German government not to participate in any further U.N. sanctions against Iran as a launching point in its propaganda war to soften up Americans for the bombings to come.
The announcement was made at a meeting in Berlin that brought German officials together with Iran desk officers from the five member states of the Security Council. It stunned the room, according to one of several Bush administration and foreign government sources who spoke to FOX News, and left most Bush administration principals concluding that sanctions are dead.
Note the clever "one of several" wording above, making it sound like several people testified that many were "stunned" by the move. In fact, I doubt it's really much of a revelation that the German economy could be hurt by further sanctions. It's fascinating to me that not one of the other news services appears to have anything at all on this story.
Kissinger in favor of Everything

I believe that this was kind of diaried before, but they left out the hilarious part. Has Henry Kissinger successfully hidden his Chauncey Gardener all these years, or have I just missed it?
Milton Friedman saves civilization

Oh. My. God. My local PBS station is feeding me neofeudalist propaganda worse than anything I've ever heard out of Rush Limbaugh. They have completely rewritten Adam Smith. The 19th century never happened. Maynard Keynes was responsible for a government takeover of society during WWI. Estonia's flat tax is the envy of the world. The socialism Roosevelt introduced during the 1930s only promises maladjusted weenies false government "protection" from the vicissitudes of free markets. The New Deal and Great Society were terrible mistakes in their entirety. Goldwater's defeat was the crucifiction of a messiah. The volunteer army is a shining example of the genius of free markets. Allende deserved what he got.
